• The safety of our faculty, staff, and students is paramount.

• As always, we are focused on student success, the advancement of research and creative work, and continuing service to our community and society.

How we come together as a CLAS community

• We will be future-oriented, with an unwavering commitment to sustaining excellence in the core activities of CLAS.

• We will demonstrate transparent, continual, and collaborative leadership and communication.

• We will be flexible, equitable, and, to the extent possible, consistent in our approaches to our challenges.

• We will leverage the expertise and lessons we have learned during spring 2020, as well as during past crises like the 2008 flood.

• We will acknowledge and empathize with the known and unknown stressors of our community members.

• We will act with respect for the needs of, and impacts on, our broader community and the state of Iowa.
